2019 Ram 2500
2019 Ram 2500
Redesigned and ready for action, the 2019 Ram 2500 exceeds all expectations of what a heavy-duty truck can be.
What’s new for the 2019 Ram 2500?
This year, the standard (but still legendary) 6.4-liter HEMI gas-powered V8 is more powerful than ever. Its 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque speak directly to your hauling needs. Properly equipped, a HEMI-powered Ram 2500 can haul 4,050 pounds of your favorite action, whether that’s bags of concrete mix or a summer supply of camping gear.
To tow more than other heavy-duty trucks in this segment, fix your 2019 Ram 2500 up with the optional turbo diesel engine. Properly equipped, a diesel-powered model can tow trailers weighing up to 19,780 pounds. You’ll find more high-strength steel in the new frame, which lends itself to better towing and hauling performance. Still, this heavy-duty truck manages to shed about 140 pounds with its reduced powertrain mass and aluminum hood. And less weight means more maneuverability. Ram even offers a fifth-wheel/gooseneck towing prep package. It’s easy to outfit this heavy-duty truck with the equipment you need to move max loads.
Updated Appearance & Features
The 2019 Ram 2500 sports an updated appearance, inside and out. Perhaps its most obvious updates are right up front, including a new grille design and new headlights. This Ram introduces a few things you won’t find on the Rams that came before it. First, there’s the optional 360-degree surround-view camera. Its bird’s-eye-view of this huge truck puts you at an advantage in a tight spot. Then there’s the new trailer tire-pressure monitoring system, which keeps you up-to-date on the status of up to six Ram 2500 pickup tires and 12 trailer tires. The Ram’s optional forward collision warning system with active braking doesn’t just warn you of a potential crash. This is the only heavy-duty truck that can automatically bring you to a full stop with a trailer attached.
Six Trims to Choose From
You’ll have the option of choosing between six different trim levels, including the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Power Wagon, Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited. As you move up the hierarchy, you’ll get more and more of the latest comforts and conveniences. If you want to skip the frills, opt for the Tradesman. The base 2019 Ram 2500 was meant for drivers who want to get straight to the point (the point being heavy-duty towing and hauling). The off-road-oriented Power Wagon does more than tow a gigantic trailer. It’s equipped with everything you need to face rugged terrain, from a disconnecting sway bar to front and rear locking differentials.
With the Lonestar and up, you can really tailor your 2019 Ram 2500 to suit any personal style. Audiophiles can choose between 10- and 17-speaker premium stereo options. The Uconnect infotainment system can be had with an 8.4- or 12-inch touchscreen, the latter of which is the largest you’ll find on any heavy-duty truck. If you spend a lot of time on the road, you can light up the night with optional LED headlights and taillights. The Ram nameplate is synonymous with style. This year, though, the redesigned truck is bringing even more heat with its luxury cabins. The Longhorn and Limited are the only heavy-duty trucks to offer 100 percent leather seating.
What’s the Ram 2500 Mega Cab?
The Mega Cab is essentially an overgrown crew cabin. Got tall friends and coworkers? Choose the Mega Cab for up to 43.3 inches of legroom and adult-friendly space in every single seating position. Want to feel like you’re riding in first class wherever you go? The Mega Cab obliges.
