Part upscale family hauler, part rugged SUV, the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the best-in-class option for adventure-loving socialites.
What’s new for the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
This year, the diesel engine is no longer available. However, this modern SUV still offers a wide range of engines for everything from proficient, off-road-friendly power to hell-raising speed.
The Grand Cherokee’s base engine is the familiar 3.6-liter V6. Rated for 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, it’s got more than enough heft to get you wherever you want to go. The optional 5.7-liter V8 engine gives you access to greater speed and rugged capabilities with 360 horses and 390 pound-feet of torque.
The performance-based SRT and Trackhawk serve up even more speed. Under the SRT hood, you’ll find a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 475 horsepower. At the top of the lineup, the Trackhawk makes waves at the track with its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 707 horses and 645 pound-feet of torque.

What are the different models of 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
There are seven 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee trim models – the Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT, and Trackhawk. They deliver everything from plush, family-style comfort to rugged off-road capabilities to blazing track performance. We’ll help you figure out which trim model is which.
The entry-level Laredo starts you off with V6 power and an impressive range of tech features, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. Upgrade to the Limited for the optional V8 engine and a little extra luxury, with standard leather upholstery and a heated steering wheel.
The specialty Trailhawk model blazes new paths, courtesy of its rugged performance gear. This Grand Cherokee comes standard with everything you need to muck through the elements, including off-road tires, four-wheel drive with low-range gearing, and an adjustable air suspension with increased suspension travel.
In the Overland, you’ll find a combination of the Limited’s luxury features and the Trailhawk’s performance gear. This model doesn’t have all of the Trailhawk’s performance upgrades, though it is more capable than lower trim models.
For the Grand Cherokee lineup, the Summit is the height of style. It adds upgraded leather upholstery, a 19-speaker premium Harman Kardon audio system, and active noise-cancelling technology, all of which combine to deliver a classy daily drive.
The SRT takes the Summit’s luxury features and adds performance-based gear to create a track-ready ride. This 2020 Grand Cherokee includes an adaptive sport-tuned suspension, limited-slip rear differential and selectable performance modes for optimal performance during your motor sporting ventures.
In the Trackhawk, you’ll blaze past the competition. This track-ready Grand Cherokee features the line’s most powerful engine, the supercharged, 707-horsepower V8, and further upgrades performance with Brembo brakes, and upgraded adaptive suspension, and more.
